The opaque giclee style fabric blocks illumination coming through the shade, focusing the light throw up and down. This shade design is custom made-to-order. U.S. Patent # 7,347,593. Brushed steel finish. Custom giclee shade. Three-way pull chain for three levels of light. Bottom diffuser on top light. Takes one 100 watt bulb for the top light (not included).
